Suggest Treatment For A Boil On The Forehead

hi i have a boil on my forehead (hairline) i have had this for a week now and am on 2 types of antibiotics. i wanted my gp to lance the boil as im worried it will return. my gp said he didnt want to lance it as its on my forehead and he is worried about scaring. if the boil isnt lanced will it come back?

Hi,

It seems that probably you may be having impetigo. Kindly consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment.

You may take a course of antibiotic like cefixime 200 mg twice a day for 5 days along with antiinflammatory drugs. Apply antibiotic cream. Cleanse the area with diluted savlon liquid.

Improve immunity and hygiene to prevent the relapse.
