Hello,

As you mentioned the symptoms of IBS (Irritable bowel syndrome), the most common is urgency after eating something. Along with abdominal pain which relieve mostly after defecation, bloating, altered bowel habit.

As treatment is concerned, an antidiarrheal agent such as loperamide, Tricyclic antidepressant, Hyoscine, antibiotics such as Rifaxamin is given.

Stool bulk forming laxative such as methylcellulose are effective. Consult a medical specialist for dosage and follow up.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
