General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Your wife needs to continue treatment since the virus remains in the body for a long period.

In your case, no clearcut investigations are available for males to confirm HPV. In case of any bumps or warts on the genital region, local and oral antiviral medications should be taken.

You may have to avoid intercourse until the treatment regimen is completed. Contact your physician if you have any warts around your genital region.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
