Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My sister has recently been hospitalized twice due to a low hemoglobin count. She has Barrett s disease and has had repeated colonoscopies to try to determine cause of blood loss with no results. She has had blood transfusions during both hospital visits. She is now being referred to a hematologist. Besides a cancer diagnosis what could be the reason for this referral
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, if this is the low hemoglobin then underlying cause of this is matter of concern and to know the underlying etiology of this the case might be sent for hematologist and it may not for some particular disease hope this information helps.
