General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Sorry to hear about your problems. The maximum dose of sertraline is 100 MG. We do not recommend the dose more than this. So it couldn't be increased.

The decrease in dose might be if he has added another drug. Or if he wants to switch to another drug so gradually decreasing the dose.

Sometimes drug itself may cause anxiety so this may be another reason why he could have reduced the dose.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman, General & Family Physician
