Suggest Treatment For 2.9cm Mass Growth On Thyroid Gland

I am being referred to an endocrinologist for a 2.9 cm growth on my thyroid. This is a relief because for at least the last 3 years I have asked my thyroid be checked and each time my THS levels came back normal, despite the fact I have had all the classic symptoms associated with a thyroid issue. What can I expect when I see the endocrinologist?

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.

You have 2.9 cm size mass in thyroid. It can be nodular goitre, colloid nodule, adenoma or papillary carcinoma or some other mass. You should go for fine needle aspiration cytology of that thyroid lump. It will give you exact diagnosis. Then you should take treatment accordingly.

Hope I have answered your question. If you have any doubts then feel free to ask me. I will be happy to answer.
Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
