General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be a thrombophlebitis or inflammation of the superficial veins of the arm. It is not a serious condition and very well managed with antibiotics and supportive measures.

Consult a general surgeon and get evaluated. As of now you can apply over the counter available thrombophobe ointment for symptomatic relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain
