Suggest Therapy For Depression

Good day. Thank u for taking the time to read my letter. I would like to know why I can't stop counting I have a thing for the number 5 aswel as 70. I get verry agetated if I get interupted while counting. I am also depressed. Don't know what the problem is I have had it for a long time I can't stop counting it is permanantly even counting my steps. Please help. Thank u

You have mentioned that you keep on counting repeatedly and you are unable to stop.
This repetetive irresistible urge to keep counting is probably Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD).

There are drug treatments as well as psychological treatments for this disorder.

Drugs like sertraline and fluoxetine are useful to stop these thoughts and treat OCD.

Also psychological treatments like behaviour therapy (flooding, and thought stopping) can prove useful as well.
