Hi, can sitting or walking barefoot on cold surfaces cause/play a role in bladder infection for girls?Also if you are not dressed weather appropriately can that play a role in catching a cold? (your body cools down and the virus attacks more easily)Thank you

Thanks for query .

It is very common in females to get UTI due to following factors
1) The proximity of anus close to urethral opening leads to passage of bacteria from perineal region to urethra leads to get UTI .

2) Use of common toilets is also one of the impotant factor giving rise to UTI.

One has to observe due precautions to avoid getting UTI by cleaning the perineal area with antiseptic solution and washing the entire area with warm water every time after passing urine
2) Please observe the common toilets that you use are in good hygienic conditions and cleaned up properly..
