Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My periods are 2 weeks late. Hcg results were negative, I took mensovit plus tablets 4 days back (3 tablets each day for 2 days), but still I didn t get peroid. wil be any side effects in future. Is there any chance for pregnancy know.I have tested yesterday but hcg results still negative.
The medication should not affect future chances of pregnancy.
There are other causes, besides pregnancy, for delayed periods. Some of the other causes are: (1)physical illness or stress or side effect of medications (2)emotional illness or stress (3)abnormal high levels of the hormone called prolactin (4)abnormal levels of the thyroid hormone (5)inadequate diet (6)extreme physical activity (7)PCOS- polycystic ovarian syndrome
Pregnancy tests can detect pregnancy by day 11 to 14 after conception. If the tests were done after this time then they are likely accurate and other causes would need to be considered.
I hope this helps
