Suggest Risk With Streptococcus Infection During Pregnancy

i am 26 weeks pregnant and at the first urin report pus cell count was 8-10. urin culture was done and it was normal. lasr week report says the count was 10-15. again a urin culture was done n was positive for beta heamolytic steptococcus infection , count was 10`4-10`5. i was prescribed augmentin antibiotic for a week. iam 5 6 height and now 65 kg. plesae advice on my siation. any danger for my baby??

Hello dear,I understand your concern.In my opinion urine infection if untreated might lead to preterm labour.Urine infections are routinely seen in pregnancy.As you have treated it might subside.Take plenty of fluids upto 3 litres,coconut water,cranberry juice to prevent urine infection.Dont worry.Repetition of urine test after a week might help to know if the infection is cleared or not.
