Since you are an adult it is important to know whether the stammering problems is since childhood or developed recently. If developed recently then the cause is psychological in most of the cases wherein you have to take opinion of an ENT Surgeon first and have Laryngoscopy t rule out any anatomical problem. Second opinion of a Psychologist or Psychiatrist for psychological evaluation and management as would be necessary as stress and anxiety are the commonest causes in an adult.
