Suggest Remedy For White Cartilage Hanging From Ear Post A Dogbite

My fiancé was bit by a dog on his left ear on Thirsday. The paramedics came and put hydrogen peroxide to curb any possible infection from the bite. There was a lot of blood and it seems like there is some white cartilage hanging out. Days later, he is Bactrim oral antibiotics as well as a topical cream antibiotic. There is still quite some pain when the area around the cartilage exposed is touched. Should he try and see an ENT to see if the cartilage needs to be removed since its visible? I have a picture if that helps.
