hi my name is Chris I have always had low blood pressure ,but last night i had a 2 of glasses of wine just after that i tried to eat something i can t rememeber doing so I was told by my husband i was vomiting for at least an hour on waking this morning I was unable to keep water down throughout the day I havn t improved very much could this be caused by low blood pressure
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted our history of 2 glasses of wine in the previous night to be awaken by persistent vomiting, unable to keep even the water down throughout the day. This can not be caused by low blood pressure. In fact the vomiting causes to lower the blood pressure. The cause as per the history you have provided is obviously severe gastritis or gastric ulcer. I would advise you the following: Take a PPI, Domperidone, anestheticantacid gel 3 hourly. Take the first dose with a sip of water and wait to see if the medication has been helping or not. If not helping, rush to ER get injectable treatment. You need intravenous fluid to correct the fluid and electrolyte balance.
