Hi, I occasionally vomit unintentionally after eating. I struggled with anorexia and bulimia like eating disorders for a year but I am no longer starving/binging and purging. Now if I eat too fast or maybe slightly too much I vomit and it is horrible. Do you know what the issue could be?
IT IS GOOD TO KNOW THAT YOU HAVE RECOVERED CONSIDERABLY FROM ANOREXIA AND BULIMIA. I HAVE THE FOLLOWING SUGGESTIONS FOR U- 1. SPACE UP YOUR MEALS. INSTEAD OF EATING 3 LARGE MEALS, U CAN TAKE 4-5 SMALL MEALS AT 3-4 HOURS INTERVALS. 2.NEVER EAT UR MEALS IN A HURRY. TAKE SMALLER BITES, TAKE TIME TO CHEW PROPERLY, THEN SWALLOW. 3. IF VOMITING STILL OCCURS U CAN SWITCH OVER TO DRY FOODS LIKE WHOLE GRAIN BREAD , BISCUITS, NUTS IN MODERATE QUANTITIES.
THESE SUGGESTIONS WILL PREVENT THE URGE TO EAT TOO MUCH/EXCESSIVELY. A WORD OF CAUTION- IF U STILL FEEL A DREAD OF BEING FAT/OBESE OR LOW SELF-ESTEEM , COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL THERAPY(CBT) WILL BE BE A GOOD OPTION FOR U. FOLLOW UP WITH A PSYCHIATRIST WHO DOES CBT.
