Suggest Remedy For Tender Area In The Armpit After Lancing The Bump?

I had a large armpit boil lanced 24 hours ago by my primary care physician. He made a small incision and then squezed rather hard for several minutes, inserted a large qtip into the hole and broke up additional pus pockets (he said) and continued to squeeze until he said only blood was coming out. He did not pack it, said to use hot, moist compresses three times a day and sent me on my way. The area is still slightly tender but the bump does not feel any smaller and is definitely still as hard as it was before the excruciating lancing yesterday. Any advice? I can not go through that again and I am currently 5 months pregnant.

See the reduction in size that your swelling has gone through is only due to drainage of pus, but the edema, still persist and that appears hard even after drainage, you will need regular dressing as advised, followed by antibiotics, and rest. with time it will get corrected.
