Suggest Remedy For Symptoms Of Urine Infection After Leaving Tampon On For 4 Days

I left a tampon in for 4 days without realising, i started to get the feeling of a urine infection as ive had them many times before. Only when i examined did i realise a tampon was still there. A few hours after removing i am still in pain, very much like a urine infection.. feeling like a need to pee alot, burning when i pee ect. can that cause a urine infection and will i need a course of anti biotics?

Thanks for asking in healthcaremagic forum
Tampoons should not be left for that much period as it may lead to toxic shock syndrome, which is a dangerous condition/infection which may lead to organ failure and death.
So, please remove it now and visit your doctor for investigations including urine test and further management.
All the best and do not forget to change tampoons frequently next time.
