Suggest Remedy For Swollen Black Eye After Injury

Hi. Last Saturday I had a hard fall on the right side of my face, above and on the brow line. I went to the agency room that night, they clear me. I had a CT scan done and doctors didn t find anything. They told me that I had a superficial cut, put dermabond on it and sent me home. The next morning, I woke up with a black eye that was swollen shut. Which was expected. But then on Monday, the puffiness and black eye spread to the other eye, my left side. The puffiness stayed for about three days(until) Wednesday and bit both eyes are still black today (Thursday). I have a bilateral nystagmus every once in a while and I find it hard to read things from a far. Should I be worried.

Dear thanks for the question.

Yes you should be worried. Blackening and puffiness are not the cause of concerns but nystagmus is very serious. Blackening will go away in 2 to 3 weeks, but nystagmus indicates some injury to eye muscles. Please visit an expert urgently.

I hope my reply will benefit you. Please write for follow up queries. Kindly give a feedback. I wish you rapid recovery. Thank you
