Hi. My 82 year old father is basically in good health. Unfortunately, over the last ten days he has been suffering from swelling, redness and small water blisters all over his calves, (slightly above his ankles to about two inches below his knees). His doctor prescribed him some water pills, which somewhat reduced the swelling. However, his calves are still very red with small water blisters which have recently started to itch. I would like to know what may be causing this problem and what type of specialist we should make an appointment with. I don t know much about medicine, but I m concerned about my father s condition. It seemed a bit strange to prescribe a water pill for a condition which is only affecting his calves. His hands and feet were not swollen.Thank you for your time,Sharon YYYY@YYYY
