Suggest Remedy For Swelling In The Knee With Cuts And Bruises
hello, i was removing old fallen branches from my backyard to the street for my village to remove. I had accumulated quite a lot of branches. Had to move pretty swiftly so I got several cuts everywhere. Legs and arm. But mostly on my left leg. My leg is swollen in the knee area. I know at one point I had some hidden splinters and I believe I have removed most of those. However my has gone down tremendously but it s still swollen around my knee. I have iced but when I move around the swelling builds up again. please advise
Hello I have gone through your question and understand your concern. Injuries at joint usually take time to heal due to no rest and a lot of movement. Swelling will subside in 4 to 5 days if wounds are superficial. Try giving your knee rest along with sleeping with legs elevated slightly to reduce swelling. Keep the wounds clean, dry and avoid wearing tight clothing till the wound heal with a scab. Use antiseptic like betadine to clean the wound. Wait for a week, if symptoms does not subside or get worse over time seek medical help. Good luck. Hope your concern is answered. Thank you.
