Suggest Remedy For Swelling And Soreness In Lower Eyelid

hi, I woke with a swollen lower eye lid in my right eye. It was tender to the touch. Throughout the day the swelling has gotten worse and it s now painful without touching, just blinking is uncomfortable. There is a little bit of discharge that has also started to occur as the day progressed.

Hi.

It looks like infection in the oil glands present in eye leading to swelling and discharge.

So my suggestion is to consult an Emergency room and get evaluated.

A clinical examination cam be done for confirmation.

If needed a course of antibiotics can help followed by applying a steroid based ointment and antibiotic and anti inflammatory eye drops.

Hope I have answered your query.
Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards.
Dr. Honey Arora, Dentist.
