Suggest Remedy For Swelling And Soreness In Abdomen After Gall Bladder Removal

Hello I had gall bladder removal a week ago, and I am still very swollen and sore in the lower stomach, especially front pelvic, vaginal area. Why would I be so swollen and sore so low down, when gall bladder is up high. I had laparoscopic surgery. Thanks

Hi,

A laparoscopic surgery distends the abdomen which puts pressure over whole abdomen and hence you can get some amount of soreness over the pelvic and groin area. This should wean off in next few days and there is nothing to worry. If soreness is troublesome, then you can use over the counter analgesics.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
