Suggest Remedy For Swelling After Getting Stung By A Wasp

I was stung by a wasp and initial swelling started to occur. I put tobacco over the stung area and the pain an swelling went down.that was around 1 pm. I woke up the next day with the stung area swollen. I did also drink that night. Was it simply a delayed reaction or did alcohol effect that?
