Suggest Remedy For Stomach Gurgling With Diarrhea And Abdominal Infection
Yes! for the past week I have been experiencing severe stomach gurgling. I have an abdominal infection and have medication for it but I cant hold any foods down. A day before I went to urgent care i started having diarrhea. What could be the problem? What should I do?

This stomach gurgling movements with irregular bowel movements could be Irritable Bowel syndrome or acute gastritis.
However,its management relies on diet and lifestyle modifications along with certain medications.
1) Diet and Lifestyle Modifications like avoiding Pulses and Beans, food with high amounts of refined sugars will help.
2) Good stress managment, Yoga and Acupuncture have all been used to help manage the symptoms of IBS with good results.
Medications in IBS like Loperamide (immodium) has been used in the management of IBS with diarrhea.
But it must be used with caution because the more you use it, the higher risk of getting an infection in your bowels.
Antispasmodics like Mebeverine (colospa) has also been used to regulate the bowel in IBS.
You will require complete blood,h.pylori and stool tests,ultrasound abdomen with upper GI endoscopy if the symptoms remains persistent.
Consult gastroenterologist for further advice.
