Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am resident of middle east. After returning from india six days back, I had watery motions. The local govt doctor gave me Trimol D.S tablets for 5 days. The motions were controlled. Day before yesterday I finished last tablet. But there is uneasyness in my stomach. I am getting stomach ache on and off. Can I take cyclopam tablet? What is the dosage? or do you recommend any other medicine? I never suffered from stomach ache problems earlier.
You are in recovery stage of acute gastroenteritis so it will take time for few days.
Avoid spicy oily food, dairy products, and caffeinated drinks. Have tender coconut water and probiotics with soft food. Use tablet sporulac twice a day for five days. You can also use Ornidazole + Ofloxacin twice a day for five days.
If symptoms do not improve, please consult your doctor, he/she will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
