Suggest Remedy For Soreness And Infection In Ear Holes On Wearing Earrings

Hi I' m not sure if you could help me out with this, but I have a ear problem. Well, I got my ears pierced about 15 years ago when I was one. I'm not 15, and I had stopped wearing earrings for like 6 months.Since I didn't want them to close up, I started wearing earrings again. But every time I have them on they hurt REALLY bad, they're sore, red, and yellowish pus with a foul smell comes out of them. Could they be infected???

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems like allergic reaction to the metal present in the earring leading to the symptoms of redness,soreness and can also cause infection leading to pus discharge..
It occurs if you are not wearing gold or silver earrings as they are inert metals and does not react with water and air while other metals will react and the decomposition products of reaction cause allergic reaction on skin..
You should gently remove the earrings and clean the area with antiseptic solution and apply a Triple antibiotic ointment over it atleast twice a day..
It will start resolving in 2 to 3 days and once it is resolved you can wear gold earrings..
