Suggest Remedy For Sore In Lips

I have a little tiny sore on the bottom of my lip, if I bump it the wrong way it starts to bleed, and with in seconds I have blood running down my chin. I have to really push hard against it to get it to stop, but this and still take 5 mins before it does.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
From the description it seems that your tiny bump could be pyogenic granuloma. It is a benign skin tumor that is slightly red in color and bleeds on slight manipulation. The diagnosis can only be confirmed by seeing the lesion. Please meet a dermatologist nearby or use Ask a specialist feature of this website to confirm the diagnosis. If its pyogenic granuloma, electrocautery or RF cautery would be required to treat it.
Hope this helped.
