General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The symptoms of your child seem to be related to a viral infection.
I recommend to give him vitamin C supplements to boost the immune system and restore the appetite.
The ailing calf may need a few weeks for full recovery.
Meanwhile,I suggest to continue using the massage cream.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
