Suggest Remedy For Skin Darkening From Popping Black Heads
So two days ago I had my boyfriend pop out the black heads on the close sides of my upper lip and he was using his shirt to pop them out and so after he squeezed them out and let go there was a clear film of skin stringing along my lips (He had torn the first layer of skin off) Now my lip has a small section that s darker than the rest and it s very red and irritated, I ve been moisturizing it with eos lip balm and treating it with neosporin every few hours, will it scar with a dark mark? How long will it take to heal? Is it going to scab?

It is unsafe to pop or squeeze the blocked pores with out proper training or knowledge, particularly in the area of mouth. Any open wound created during this process can carry infection into the deeper parts of the body including brain. Always seek professional help or try following strict disinfecting routine to minimize the risk of infections.
As of now, avoid touching the area frequently, use petroleum jelly to moisturize lips if need and apply Neosporin ointment thrice a day. The post inflammatory hyper-pigmentation which leads to darkening occurs mostly in skin type 4, 5 and 6. This can be reduced and prevented by using over the counter skin lightening products like arbutin in the recovery period, after the scab clear off.
