Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Yesterday I drank 3 glasses of Kool-Aid. I started to get sharp pains below my rib cage. The sharp pain then started to wave between my rib cage and my lower ab area. My stomach felt bloated, but with gas that would not release itself. I spent all night in fetal position and today i am feeling slightly better, but the pain under my ribs still comes back from time to time. What should I do?
The symptoms seem to be related to the presence of gas in the intestine. I recommend using an over the counter medication to help with the gas such as Simethicone medication three times a day. I also suggest using a spasmolytic to help with the pain. I recommend to avoid food that can trigger the symptoms such as cabbage, lentils or too much caffeine.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
