Anesthesiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Severe body itching is seen in conditions like very dry skin, bug bites, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, hives, hand foot and mouth disease, cancer and diabetes mellitus.

Recommendations are tab. Benadryl for 5 days. Moisturizers are to be applied over skin for most of the time in a day. The cause of itching has to be identified and treated. Please do consult a dermatologist for a specific diagnosis and appropriate treatment.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
