Suggest Remedy For Severe Heel Cracks With Swelling And Pain

My feet have really bad callouses around my heels, cracking skin on the bottom and in the creases of my toes, the cracks are taken forever to heal, swollen, and feel like they are on fire. My dr did blood work and said that I am not diabetic and referred me to a podiatrist. They can t get me in for almost 3 weeks. Any ideas or helpful hints to help releave some of the pain. I can barely walk and I am a single mom of 3...

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

You may want to consider soaking the feet with water containing epsom salts or apple cider vinegar.

This would help to soften any affected areas. After soaking for 10 to 15 minutes a pumice stone can be gently used to help get rid of excess skin.

Using anti inflammatory pain killers such as ibuprofen, naproxen would help to relieve the pain.
You can also consider applying a topical pain killer such as voltaren cream
