Suggest Remedy For Scar On Lungs

Hi I was diagnosed with PTB last 2005, I took the six months treatment for it. And the PTB left a scar on my lungs, specifically fibrocalcific left upper lobe infiltrates. Every time we'll have an annual medical check up in our office, I feel scared because of the scar. Anyhow, just recently I faced my fear (yet again) and took a chest xray and the report said that I have a normal chest.. I don't know if i will believe this. Is it really possible to get scars in the lungs removed?thank u

Hello
You took 6 months treatment for pulmonary tuberculosis 9 years back .
Now when they X ray your chest and wrote that CHEST is normal .
Old scar ( calcified fibrotic healed lesions ) never resolve and it will remain forever in lungs filed . Till date there is no scientific proof that it can be removed without surgery.
In your case two possibilities may be , these include.
1 Report may be false .
2 X ray may be false ( false interpretation ) .
Still if you have any doubt get in one independent X ray .
Hop this will help you.
