Suggest Remedy For Recurring Polyps Near Duodenum

I have an endoscopy every two years due to precancerous polyps near my duodum. Should I consult with an oncologist or just continue course with gastronologist? He has burned the polyps off and currently is watching them every two years when I have it looked at. Please advise

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello.
Welcome to HCM.
This is Dr. Swarnava Dattagupta answering your query.

See, precancerous polyps in duodenum are to be observed very minutely and followed up regularly. Your doctor had done ablation to stop or arrest the growth of the polyps. But this might or might not help. Polyps might again grow back and then your doctor will automatically consult an oncologist. So you should not worry about that.

Hope this was helpful.
Regards
