Suggest Remedy For Recurring Infected Boil In Mouth

My 14 year old daughter has had a half dime size pustular sore on the side of her mouth for 9 months. It continually cycles from increased puss and inflammation, to bursting, bleeding, scabbing then starts again. When tested, non cancerous, herpes...ointments have not helped

Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern.

Brief answer - Recurrent Apthous Stomatitis.

Detailed answer - As per your query your daughter has recurring infection in oral cavity which gets filled with pus at times and some times crust formation, its because of increased susceptibility of microorganisms to attack the oral cavity. Immunity of body id poor to resist the attack. I would suggest you to rinse mouth with warm water solution and give her bland food only to cause minimum discomfort.

Anesthetic medications and steroid will help a lot. Give chlortetracycline (Aureomycin) on the sores or injecting steroids into the sores to get better relief. Visit dentist again to get that lesions biopsied and start prescribed medications for recurrent stomatitis. Keep applying Dologel on frequent basis on sores in mouth.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
