Suggest Remedy For Plain And Dark Pockmarks Due To Chickenpox

Hello! I m 15 years old. Me and my sister had a chicken pox three weeks ago. We got infected by our little brother who got infected only also by his classmates. It has been 3 weeks and my sisters scars in her back, stomach, arms and legs are starting to disapper so quickly unlike mine which are still so obvious and still not yet disappearing. I feel so sad because I have already tried a lot of cream and oil but I see no changes. I have been using Bi-oil, A-Derma repairing cream and A-Derma lotion (Dermalibour). I am still also using Cyteal whenever I take a bath. I already used 5 lotions of A-Derma since the first day I had chicken pox and I noticed that the wound-like/ spots dried easily but after weeks, it ended up leaving pockmarks and it’s all over my face, my back, my legs, my arms, my neck, my hands. What should I do? Should I try Calamine lotion? The pockmarks are so plain and dark now. I am so ashame to go out and wear short sleeves, shorts because they are so obvious.

Hi,

The chicken pox infection can be treated in about a weeks time but the scars that develop takes times to go away. Its been only 3 weeks, so give it some more time for it to heal.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sushma Yadav
