Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband has been throwing up everything he eats for the last 7 days. Around the same time he got bit by a bug on the top of his thigh which became very inflamed and hard around the center ( about the size of a half dollar ). He does not feel any other symptoms . Just vomiting after food or liquid.
Thanks for consulting at my virtual clinic. I have carefully worked through your husband's case, and can well realize your health worries. Being your physician, I want to assure, I will take care all of your husband's medical concerns.
The two events don't look likely to be linked. For vomiting the reason looks like he has got gastroenteritis. If I was his treating physician I would have prescribed him Rifaximin, Ondansetron and Omeprazole.
For insect bite it is highly needed that I see the picture of the wound to determine the reason for and the nature of disease. It will also help see the extent of infection of the wound. Treatment will go accordingly if needed. Skin lesions are always difficult to treat without actually seeing them. Apply Triple antibiotic cream to help spread of infection. Oral antibiotics can be decided after seeing the picture of the wound.
Hope I answered all of your questions. Have a wonderful time ahead. Keep in touch for a follow-up too.
Regards! DR. MUHAMMAD HANIF USA
