Suggest Remedy For Persistent Nasal Drip

Hi, fro almost a year I have has a contant nasal drip in the back of my throat. I can feel it when I swallow my spit and when it build up too much I actually gag on it. A the beginning I was told it was allergies (it as spring) but it never went away. Two months ago I was given a nasal spray to help but it doesn't make a difference. Occasionally it will clear up for a reason unknown, or I get very little so I don't notice but at least 5 days a week its there and I gag. any advice?

As per your complain post nasal drip can be due to a number of causes like chronic post nasal drip, sinusitis, allergies, side effect of certain medication like high blood pressure medicines and birth control pills, deviated nasal septum, acid reflux etc..

I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like Nasal endoscopy, allergic tests and and PNS View of sinuses can help in diagnosis and treatment can be planned according to the cause..
Treatment of the cause can help in clearing the symptoms..

In case if it is due to bacterial infection antibiotics will relieve..
Viral infection, allergies and sinus infection can be commonly treated with decongestants, mucolytics and anti allergics.
Steam inhalations and warm saline gargles can also help..
Chew Vitamin C pellets to boost immunity..
