Suggest Remedy For Persistent Dizzy Spells And Hearing Loss Due To Respiratory Virus

I have had a respiratory virus. I took 10 days of dozy line and I am still having dizzy spells no energy and can not hear out of my ears unless you talk loud. My dr said it would have to run its course. Is there anything else I can do? I am going to try a heating pad for my ears and see if that might help.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain in case if you have a respiratory virus it is true that any Viral infection runs its course and once it completes its cycle it gets disrupted and the symptoms of infection begins to resolve..
There is no specific medicine to treat Viral infection as anti- Viral medicines are least effective so the treatment given is symptomatic to relieve the discomfort..
As you have clogged ears it can be due to fluid accumulation in the ears behind the ear drum secondary to respiratory infection and you can take Oral and nasal decongestant like Phenylephrine to unclog the ears..
You can also do Valsava Maneuver in which you can pinch your nostrils and close your mouth and try to gently blow air and due to pressure difference ear may open..
Steam inhalation may also help..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..
