Suggest Remedy For Painless, Small White Bump On Eyelid

Hi! I have a painless, small white bump on the outer edge of the rim of my lower eyelid that s been there for about 2-3 months. It s really annoying unless I get creative when I wear eyeliner and cover it up. What could it be and how do I get rid of it? If I can t get rid of it do I see an ophthalmologist or should I see a dermatologist?

Hello,

As per your case history, you have a Stye. My treatment advice is:

1. Don't squeeze the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a Neosporin eye ointment twice daily on affected part.
3. Take a NSAID drug like Ibuprofen for 5 to 7 days.

If problem persists, then consult an ophthalmologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshit Bhachech
