at work while picking up table it broke and fell on top of my foot, at least 20lbs. It cut my foot and swollen and bruised, and when I put pressure on it walking I get shooting pain in top of my foot, because it hit right in crease of foot on top. When I also move it I get a pain up my lower leg.

Hi,

Bruising is common with even mild injury. But severe pain, swelling or bleeding from bruises should be treated immediately.Any small  fractures or severe soft tissue swelling should be ruled out. X-ray of ankle and foot should be taken to rule out any fractures or dislocation of joints. Pain killers and hot compress can provide early pain relief.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
