Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 42 year old female. Both of my breasts have been tender or rather painful to the slightest touch for the last 4 days. I no longer have a period, I have not for approx 6 years as I have had an ablation. So painful that I am even wearing a bra to bed to keep minimum movement. and I am not big busted. 34 B/C
Based on your introduction, you have noncyclic breast pain, that is most common in women 30 to 50 years of age.
Occasionally, noncyclic pain may be caused by a fibroadenoma or a cyst.
Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), such as ibuprofen 400 mg 2 to 3 times daily when needed or naproxen 250 mg once to two times daily when needed will be helpful for your condition.
If breast pain becomes severe or lasts longer than 3 weeks, please see a doctor.
All the best!
