Suggest Remedy For Pain In Coccyx Post Injury From A Fall

My tailbone hurts. I fell of the stairs along time ago and it still hurts. When i sit/lie down then get up it hurts so much. When i pass gas or have to poop it hurts a lot too. I heard that you cant do much except for a blow up donut, is that true? What should I do? What happened?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
I have gone through your case and I can understand your concern. First I recommend to do a X-Ray of your hip to look for fracture and local inspection for damages by a doctor, because you reported severe pain when you pass gas. For pain, you may take NSAIDs (Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug) such as ibuprofen, naproxen - alone or in combination with codeine based on the degree of your pain using a scale from 1 to 10. Please don't forget to give your valuable feedback and five star rating, to help me assist you in a better way. Click at 'I Find This Answer Helpful too'. Please, write a review about your experience with me.
