I am a 21 year old female who experiences an achy, pressure in my chest above my left breast. It feels almost like it is in between the third and fourth rib near my breastbone, but not under. I also get a slight heavy-chested feeling when it happens (it usually last between 10-15 minutes before going away) where I also feel short of breath. I do have some anxiety issues, which I also find the stitch pain gets worse when I am very stressed our or having an anxiety attack.
Is this something to be concerned about? (I am not on any medications other than low-dose birth control, which I just started so I do not think it is related).
