Suggest Remedy For Pain In Chest And Shoulder

I have been having a terrible pain in my chest and my shoulders for a few weeks now and now I have a barky cough. My chest was clear last week with no sign of infection but now it hurts bad, to breathe and when I lie flat on my back. What could it be?

you haven' t mentioned about any injury sustained etc , seems like a crack fracture of the rib. you haven't mentioned your age also. so many factors missing see a good Ortho surgeon, needs examination to rule out injury to the ribs etc.
