Suggest Remedy For Pain And Tingling Sensation In Toes

My toe is numb! So around Sunday my toe started to hurt really bad, it started with it filling like my foot was asleep I guess it s the closest way to describe it, pins and needles filling and throbbing, it got worse as the day went on and half way tore Monday or maybe closer to the end it stopped hurting finally, I got home from work and took my shoes and socks of and noticed I couldn t fill part of my big toe. I poked it and rubbed it just to make sure it wasn t asleep, I started pinching and poking my other toe to the point of pain so I could compare and then did the same to the one with no filling, I couldn t feel it at all... I made sure to be rough too... The rest of my foot seems to be ok except not that throbbing painful sensation bis starting to spread out... I didn t twist of injure my foot, leg or back in any way at work or home so it s not that.. it seems to be ok color wise I think, it s pale and when I squeeze it it doesn t regain color as quick as the rest of my foot or toes. I know I should go see a doctor I plan on it but I m not even sure what kind doctor I would see. What is wrong with me?

Hi Dear !! Thanks for your query to HCM .
Read and reviewed your query and health concerns.
IN the given situation, You seems to suffer from-?PAD(Peripheral Artery disease of Legs) or from-L5/S1- PID with S1 compression.
paresthesia in your case progressively developing to totally numb big toe, indicates, S1 nerve impingment with lost senses.
PAD would have been more excruciating pains with blueness in the great toe, occurring from -physical stress and trauma- and or from narrowed arterial supply and would develop over a chronic history/ or with sudden history-in cases of embolic PAD.
Urgent Consults from team of Orthopedic and Vascular Surgeon would assess and fix either of these 2 possibilities in your case.
USG with Colour Doppler study and CT spine with Contrast study would fix the diagnosis in your case.
As the pain is not severe and as big toe colour is normal, chances of PID with S1 impingement are more in your case.

Remedy-
Confirmation of diagnosis with Consults and investigation from team of Orthopedic and Neuro-Surgeon / and or /Vascular Surgeon would decide further treatment accordingly.
Urgent attendance to your numb big toe is essential and time should not be wasted in your case,so as to save from further serious complications.

Hope this would help you to plan further of this complex illness of yours.
