Suggest Remedy For Pain And Infection Due To Wound In Finger

I cut myself with an orange peel and now my finger hurts really bad it burns and has infection coming out of it and ive washed it quite a few times. I don't now if this is a serious problem but my hole hand hurts what should I do? whats making this little cut so bad?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain in case if there is infection in your injured finger, the pain is being caused due to infection and pain in hand is radiating pain from injury site..

I would suggest you to start taking a course of antibiotics like Sulphamethoxazole and Trimethoprim..
Take painkillers like Advil or Motrin or diclofenac..
Clean the area with an antiseptic solution and try to drain out pus if present..
Apply Triple antibiotic ointment along with steroid ointment over it..
You should avoid exposing the area to water..
Keep it dry and clean..
In case if still it does not improve consult a General Physician and get evaluated..
