Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello doctor,I've oily skin which is prone to pimples and I have these small tiny bumps on my nose. Now I have dark spots caused by pimples. Two of my friends recommended using betnovate C, but after reading its side effects online I'm confused whether to use it or not on facial skin. Please tell me what to do.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain dark patches caused by pimples if treated with betnovate C is very harmful as it contains steroids and using steroids over the face can cause serious side effects and I would suggest not to use it.. You can use Kojic Acid containing creams as they are safe for long term use and will also cause brightening of the skin and fading of the dark spots.. You can also apply alovera gel and olive oil on face.. Vitamin E gel can be helpful.. Exfoliate you skin twice a week.. You can also go for micro-dermabrasion and dermal rollers for reducing the spots..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
