Suggest Remedy For Lump In Eye Post Injury

My brother in law was just having a pillow fight with his son and was hit in the eye with a pillow. He now has a small pea sized bump on the cornea of his eye right beneath the iris of his eye. The entire sclera is slightly reddened. The vision in that eye is blurry. He is on the way to the ER....any thoughts?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
I understand your concern for your brother. Your brother is injured by pillow on his cornea and his vision is blurry. My advice is he should immediately visit the Ophthalmologist and get his eye examination done. He should wash his eyes with plenty of water for 8 to 10 times. just sprinkle the water in eyes. Do not rub the eye. Then If you have lubricant eye drops at home, put 3-4 drops in his eye.
While going to the hospital, keep your injured eye close and away from the bright light. This will reduce pain and irritation in his eyes.
Hope this will help you.
