My 9 year old daughter and 6 year old son came home from school covered in little red itchy bumps. My daughter had it worse then my son at the time but now my son has them all over. My daughters started to look better but I think its starting to come back. They have them mainly on the legs back arms and a few on the stomach. My son also has a few on his face. Now I have a few showing up on my arms and a couple spots on my legs. I m noticing after you itch them that s when it seems the bumps are spreading
Hi. As per your case history your children are having papular urticaria. My treatment advice is - 1. Wear full sleeve clothes to avoid further such episodes. 2. Apply a mild antibiotic plus steroid cream like fusiderm-b cream twice daily on affected skin. 3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for 7-10 days. 4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
Thanks. Dr. Harshit bhachech. MBBS, DDVL.
